The time has come.

Following the removal of 2 of the clock faces in September. It was found that when attempting to remove the 3rd clock face it was not viable as it had been fitted into the stonework. To remove it could cause damage to the clock face and surrounding stonework. The 2 clock faces have now been restored and are ready to be refitted. These have been striped and re coated and the numerals gilded with gold leaf.

It has been decided that third clock face on the south side of the tower is to be restored in situ by abseiling down the tower.
Work will be undertaken on 12th & 13th December 2024 to replace the 2 clock faces, weather permitting. Again the dials that where removed will be re-fitted by abseiling from the top of the tower.
