It’s been a busy year for Leicester Animal Aid, Huncote, especially in the Cattery where nearly every month the nursery has been full, with many kittens being born onsite and some coming in with their mums as strays. However, the staff and volunteers never tire of hearing the patter of tiny paws. The adoption of adult cats has been going well, with the majority finding homes within weeks of coming into the Centre. in one month an amazing 28 cats were rehomed!
It was heartwarming to see some of our longer stay dogs head off to their new homes. After almost three years in rescue, there were lots of happy tears when we said goodbye to seven-year-old Malamute, Zeta. We hear that she’s settling in really well and has been having a great time on her walks in the woods. She is especially enjoying having lots of fuss and belly rubs!
