Thurlaston once again held a pram race on Boxing Day. A bright, sunny day attracted a large crowd to witness the athletic prowess of a number of intrepid competitors. The race has been held for many years now and proved as popular as ever.
Each ‘pram’ (actually any wheeled vehicle) has to be accompanied by at least two competitors who leave the Elephant and Castle, complete a circuit of the village, completing a number of challenges (such as eating dry crackers) on the way, before returning to the pub.
Our congratulations to the winners and all of the sporting competitors.
