Our specialist service, Money Max, has recently recruited a budgeting expert to provide support and assistance to clients with money management and budget planning. We are extremely grateful to Leicestershire County Council and the Multiply project that is funding this additional advice service.
To access this budgeting support, you must meet the eligibility criteria which are: Be aged 19 or over; Be a resident of Leicestershire; Do not have a Level 2 maths qualification.
During the appointment, our budgeting expert will focus on practical money management skills including working out income and outgoings, identifying priority bills, look at reducing non-essential spending and will complete a monthly budgeting plan for you to take home with you.
Our aim is to assist clients to maximise their income and in turn minimise their financial burden through a time of increased costs. We believe that this support will improve the day-to-day lives of local residents who may be at risk of falling into debt or being unable to afford necessities such as energy bills and food.
Virtual and face to face appointments are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 9am to 4:30pm. To book your appointment, you can fill out a form on our website at: https://citizensadviceleicestershire.org/get-advice/money-advice
