A by-election has been called for two Parish Council seats in Blaby village.
The by-election follows two resignations from the Parish Council, resulting in the need for two new councillors to represent the authority’s Blaby South Ward.
Voters within Blaby South will go to the polls on Thursday 28 November.
Residents who are not already registered to vote must apply by midnight on 12 November at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
Blaby District Council runs all elections across the District, including those for the Parish Council. For all deadlines, details of candidates when available, and how to register for a postal or proxy vote or applying for a free Voter Authority Certificate can be found at www.blaby.gov.uk/by-election.
The Parish Council Blaby South Ward covers areas south of Freer Close to the village’s boundary with Countesthorpe.
Residents living in Blaby South should start to receive poll cards from 24 October. Contact us via www.blaby.gov.uk/contactelections if you believe you live in Blaby South and do not receive a poll card.
