We can’t quite believe we are coming to the end of another school year already but there’s been no let up in the amount of activities we have packed in recently.
Towards the end of this busy term, our children have competed in several sporting competitions. Sixty Key Stage 2 children competed at Saffron Lane in the annual inter-school athletics competition, eight children competed in a Tri-Golf Festival at Leicester Golf Centre
In June, seventeen NALT members went to Curve to see “Cluedo". It was described as a comedy thriller based on the 1985 American film Clue and the original board game Cluedo
We were delighted with the wonderful Jubilee display both inside and outside of the library and thank everyone for their dedication to making our library a brighter place to be.
It was a busy time leading up to half term with Year 6 completing their SATs. They worked incredibly hard throughout the week showing our school values – Courage and Commitment - in abundance.
Robjohn Nursery School recently celebrated being 50 years old!
On Friday May 27th we held a party for all of our children so that we could celebrate the Queens’ Platinum Jubilee
In April NALT members travelled to The Priory Theatre, Kenilworth to see their production of “Mr Bennet’s Bride.” The theatre with just 120 seats is run as an amateur company, all volunteers.
After a lovely Easter break everyone came back to school raring to go for our summer term! First up several of our year 5/6 children took part in a very successful gala.
Foundation Stage’s current topic is ‘Come Outside’ with the children learning through stories and poems including Mad About Minibeasts, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Little Red Hen.
We came second in the skittles! A great result for us!
We had a lovely time sampling different “pub grub” and meeting fellow WI’s. We have now got 2 teams in the darts competition so watch this space for more trophy news!
