Annie Duplock from Sharnford and user of the Commbus celebrated her 100th birthday on 20th August 2023. Having received a card from King Charles III she was also presented with flowers from her friends at the Commbus.

Annie has led a very active life and during the second world war in 1940 was in the women’s land army contributing to help Britain’s food production. Annie is a mum of 6 and lost her husband many years ago and brought her children up on her own. Thankfully she’s still got her wits about her and her sense of humour. Her family marvels at how she doesn’t act her age! Her next ambition is to skydive.
