The Enderby Parish Council has decided to celebrate King Charles III’s Coronation by organising the Annual Village Summer Event to coincide with the Bank Holiday Weekend.
You will probably all be glued to your TV sets on Saturday 6th to soak up the atmosphere and critique all the outfits, so the King Charles Coronation Event will be on Monday 8th May from 1 to 5 p.m. There will be something for everyone: music, food stalls, drinks, tug-of-war, activities for children, fancy dress and a dog show so bring the family along, perhaps with a picnic, and enjoy the day with the rest of the community.
It will be a busy weekend because on Sunday 7th May we are being treated to a performance of “Eddie and the Goldtops” presented by the Badapple Theatre Company. According to The Stage Magazine, it is ‘A warm hearted tale set in the 60’s… extremely funny’ and filled with ‘Great songs, great performance…A must see show’ (Gazette and Herald). The show will be presented by ‘Live and Local’ at the Enderby Civic Centre at 7 p.m. You can buy your ticket (£15 standard / £12 over 65’s) from the Parish Office, by phone: 01162 753711, or email: bookings@enderbyparish.org
