We are very sorry to read of The Journal’s demise. You have all done a wonderful job of keeping it going in such changing times.
The Twinning Association is also coming to an end as you can read:
At our November meeting we discussed the visit from our French friends in Bordeaux. They hope to come in May 2026 and we are planning a programme of activities for them. It will be the last time they will come over as a group and so we want to make it a special occasion. We hope everyone will continue to visit each other privately as some wonderful friendships have been formed since 1987 when Le Haillan twinned with Enderby.
We have made a decision to end the formal visits because all the members are getting older and travelling is becoming more difficult. We also talked about some lovely Sunday lunches and a Summer barbecue that we have enjoyed together, and hope to continue to do so, with our English friends, in the future.
If you would like any information on our Twinning Association, we can be found online at www,enderbyparish.org.uk. Click the drop down menu and you will find us under “Community”.
Best wishes,
Julia Pritchard (on behalf of the Chairperson, Jenny Croft)
