In 1822 a group of dissenters gathered to build an Independent Chapel. This year we are celebrating 200 years since that happened.
We started our celebrations on June 2nd along with celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee by holding a ‘street party’ inside the building.
Our next event will be a FLOWER FESTIVAL over the weekend June 25th / 26th.
The event will be in our Main Church with Refreshments being served all day in the Schoolroom. The festival will be open from 10am – 5pm on the Saturday and 2-5pm on the Sunday. We will be having a special service at 10:30am being led by our former Minister Revd. Mary Burgess.to which everyone is welcome.
Another date for your diary is the weekend of July 23rd. 10am-5pm ; 24th 2-5pm when we will be hosting an ART EXHIBITION by local artists. Refreshments will be again served throughout the days. Our Sunday service will be led by Revd. Malcolm Fife, also a former minister.
All are welcome.
