Helpers needed at your local tennis club

Enderby Lawn Tennis Club is looking for volunteers to help with adult learner tennis sessions they host between 12 – 1pm on Tuesdays.

And starting in April, they will also be hosting Introduction to Tennis sessions every Thursday 1-2pm with infant school age children from a Special Education Mental Health (SEMH) School.

You would not need to commit every week but have the enthusiasm to be a helper along with other people leading the sessions. No tennis experience is necessary, you will be given guidance on what to do, and you’d need a DBS check the cost of which will be refunded.  It would be a rolling rota where you state what you can commit to, there will always be other volunteers with you and there are also breaks for school holidays.

Tennis is a fun and inclusive sport, and our aim is to provide relaxed sessions, free of charge, which gives the participants the opportunity for exercise, and which will be enjoyed by both the participants and the volunteers.

If you are interested in helping in any capacity, please contact Eamonn Canavan by email at EnderbyTennis@gmail.com or by phone at 07771 765709

Enderby Lawn Tennis Club is a charity (Reg No 1184329) run entirely by volunteers whose objective is to provide tennis facilities for everyone. You do not need to be a member to play, and we lend rackets and balls. Use our website enderbylawntennisclub.co.uk to book courts seven days in advance for any day of the week between 8am and 10pm

Playing tennis regularly is a fun and effective way to improve physical and mental wellness and is a great social activity.
