A local cat and dog rehoming Centre is celebrating after its Community Pet Support Scheme’s staff team was crowned Team of the Year at the national Petplan and Association of Dogs and Cats Homes Charity Awards ceremony.
Whilst many may know Leicester Animal Aid as a rehoming Centre for cats and dogs in need, it also runs a Community Pet Support Scheme that provides free practical pet care in the community to those who have long term physical and/or mental health conditions.
If you, or someone, you know, lives in the Blaby district, has a long term physical and/or mental health condition, finds it hard to give your pet the exercise and care they need or finds it hard to get to the vet, then you may be eligible for the Scheme.
L.A.A.’s CPSS provides free practical pet care in the form of dog walking, grooming, enrichment activities and support with vet visits along with temporary boarding of pets for clients if they have hospital appointments.
The pet care is provided by a professional (award-winning!) staff team, they are background checked and trained in working with people and pets. Please call L.A.A. on 01455 888257 or email cpss@leicesteranimalaid.org.uk to find out if the Scheme is suitable for you for someone you know.
L.A.A.’s Community Pet Support Scheme is proud to be supported by the National Lottery Community Fund.
