A local rescue and re-homing charity for cats and dogs is excited to be welcoming the public back through its doors to see the animals that are waiting for new homes.
Leicester Animal Aid, on Forest Road, Huncote, had to make lots of changes due to the pandemic, which included restricting visitors walking round the Centre. Animal-lovers are now able to visit the kennels and cattery, without an appointment, on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am to 2pm (11am to 2pm for the Cattery). So please do call in and see us, we can’t wait to welcome our supporters again. You could also visit our on-site charity shop which is open every day except Mondays and Sundays.
If you pop down to the Centre, you may see Nala, a gentle, bouncy bundle of fun. This beautiful one-year-old Great Dane has her paws crossed for a home where she will be only animal and an owner that has experience of Great Danes and large dogs. For more information on the type of home that Nala needs either call the Centre or visit the website.
Over in the Cattery you’ll find all shapes, sizes and ages of cats who can’t wait to find a pad of their own. There’s 11-month-old Pippa who came to the Centre as a stray and loves to play and 14-year-old Shadow who came into the care of Leicester Animal Aid as his owner was unable to carry on looking after him. If you’re thinking of adopting a new feline friend, check out all the adorable cats on the website.
Leicester Animal Aid wants to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported them over the past two difficult years and can’t wait to see people looking around the Centre again.
