Scarecrow Festival – Thank you to everyone who took part in the Scarecrow Festival in September, whether you made a scarecrow, enjoyed a cream tea or a cake, had a go on the games or bought a raffle ticket. It made for a very successful event. Thanks too to those who helped on the day or donated cakes, and also to the local businesses and residents that donated raffle prizes – your contributions are very much appreciated!
Santa Run 2022 – Santa will be out doing the rounds of Littlethorpe again in December. Details are being finalised so look out for more information on the newsletter which will be distributed next month.
Our regular LCA activities will be continuing as usual:
The Art Club continues in the village hall on Biddle Road on Tuesdays 2pm-4pm. The cost is £3.50 per session. For more information contact Tom Bates on 0116 275 2656.
Drop-in Coffee Mornings continue to take place on the second Saturday of the month, 10.00-12.00, also in the village hall.
The Book Sale takes place on the village hall every other Wednesday 9am-midday.
Feel Good Walks – run by Penny Bates every Thursday morning from The Plough carpark, ready to set off at 10.30am. There is no need to book. The walks will be at a leisurely pace and finish at approximately midday. For more information contact Penny on 0116 275 2656.
Short Mat Bowls takes place Thursdays 7pm-9pm in the village hall.
LCA meetings – The committee meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm, alternately in The Plough and The Old Inn. New faces and ideas are always welcome.
