The Summer Reading Challenge is in full swing with plenty of children collecting stickers and prizes. They have until September 7th to complete their reading to get a certificate, medal and be in with a chance of winning a £10 voucher. Remember, it does not have to be library books that they read. Books at home, audiobooks and comics count too, just tell our librarians what they have been reading.
We have lots of exciting events happening in the library. Our book sales have been great for fundraising and bolstering our library users bookshelves! Our next book sale is on September 14th, so come along and get some bargain books and support your local library.
We are also holding a quiz at Narborough Parish Center on October 11th; tickets are available soon and are always popular so visit the library to get yours in September and start revising!
Our volunteers do a stellar job of running the library, but we are in need of more people to help us in a variety of roles, including being a librarian or helping with the behind-the-scenes running of the library. You don’t need any experience as training is available, and there are different levels of commitment. If you’re interested, please email us or collect an application form from the library.
