We have a question for you, which was the first Sherlock Holmes novel? If you know the answer is A Study In Scarlet, why not come along to our next quiz. We’ll have questions on a variety of topics and it’s a fun social event, with bragging rights going to the winners.
Tickets to our next quiz are now on sale at the library. The quiz will take place at Littlethorpe Village Hall on Friday, 24th October at 7pm.
Get your team together of up to six people, or come alone and join a team when you arrive. Drinks are available but bring your own food and refreshments. Tickets are £5 per person.
All profits from this event will go towards the costs of running the library. Thank you for your support and we’ll see you at the quiz.
Our display for September was for national friendship month, and displayed books including Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman, and Small Pleasures by Clare Chambers.
As Mark Twain said, “good friends, good books, and a sleepy conscience: this is the ideal life.” At the library we’ve had a steady flow of new books added to our stock, so come along and have a browse, we’re bound to have something new to pique your interests.
Our beautiful summer display outside made by our Busy Hands and Minds group has now been taken down, keep an eye out to see what they have been working on when the new display is out
