Narborough and Littlethorpe Community Library March 2022

As Spring approaches and the daffodils are opening in our garden we are pleased to say that we will now be back to our Pre-Covid opening hours. It is with much thanks to our volunteers that we can do this. We have recently welcomed several new volunteers who are keen to help provide our villages with excellent service. If you have any spare time and would like to volunteer at our library please do get in touch.

Our groups are flourishing and we are keen to welcome anyone who would like to start a new community group or run an activity at the library. We would very much like to re-start the Little Bookworms sessions for pre school children and toddlers so if you or someone you know would like to run this group we would love to hear from you. The Duke of Edinburgh students have re-started volunteering in the library thanks to Volunteer and Trustee Trish.

We are delighted to say that the Quiz that was cancelled in 2020 is finally going ahead on April 1st ; most of the tickets have been sold, but do look out for others that we will hold. A small group of our volunteers have planned several events for the coming months, but we are desperately looking for others who would like to help organise small events to raise funds to keep the library going. We will be holding a Craft Evening in April where you can make a Jubilee Rag Wreath – materials will be supplied along with a glass of wine and we’ll be holding a Summer Raffle and Fayre. Look out for posters and notices of our coming events.

We have a Book Sale organised for Saturday 9th April, and any good condition books you want to donate are very welcome. We are always looking for tombola or raffle prizes too so if you have any unwanted gifts you would like to donate we would be happy to receive them.

Did you know you can hire the library when it is closed for book borrowing?
