New Year, New Group! We are delighted to say that we have a new group starting this year. We appealed for someone to set up a group for those members of the villages who enjoy playing games: chess, cards, crib, scrabble, draughts etc. The group will run fortnightly starting on Tuesday 21st February 11am -1pm. Tea,biscuits and a warm welcome will be provided. If you just want to come along and use our Warm Space and socialise you will be very welcome. All of our groups offer a WARM SPACE for you to socialise in or why not come along to make use of the FREE WiFi or just read a book.
Tuesday 9.15-10.30 Weekly – Wriggly Readers (for 0-5yr olds)
Tuesday 11-1pm Fortnightly New Games Group
Wednesday 10.30-12.30 Digital Drop In
Friday 2pm-4pm Fortnightly Busy Hands and Minds
Our Book Club runs monthly on a Thursday Evening
Please get in touch if you would like any more information about our groups.
We were delighted to have been chosen by the public to receive the ASDA Green Token Award. The money given to us will go towards the setting up of our new group so THANK YOU to all those who voted for us.
The Children from the nursery schools once again brightened up our library in December with their colourful Christmas Crackers and the children from Greystokes created wonderful Christmas Trees in the colouring competition. The winners’ creations are on display inside the library. Once again the Busy Hands decorated our library with Carolling Mice and colourful decoration for the tree.
We would like to say a special “Thank You” to Ed Holder at Soar Valley Timber who donated railway sleepers for our garden and thanks also to our volunteer Steve Duncan who installed them on one of the coldest days of the year!
