The Busy Hands group is being exactly that “Busy with their Hands” ! The recent Halloween display was quickly replaced by the Remembrance display and will soon be followed by the Christmas display. Once again the local nursery schools are taking part by decorating Christmas crackers to display and school aged pupils will be encouraged to take part in a colouring competition.
Recent activities:
The Family History afternoon was enjoyed by all those attending, Dave who took the session expertly explained the best way to begin or continue your family history research for FREE using the library computer resources.
The Festive Wreath making lead by Barbara was again enjoyed by all and everyone left having had their fill of mulled wine and mince pies and of course with a beautiful wreath to display.
The Winter Fayre takes place on Saturday 26th when the Winter Raffle will be drawn. Thanks go to all of the local businesses who have generously donated prizes. All proceeds will go towards the running of the library and providing the groups we hold.
We would very much like for a community group to use the library on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons: Perhaps you would like to gather with a few friends to play cards, crib, read the newspaper or just use the free WiFi in a warm central location. Please contact the library if you would like to get something going.
