With autumn just around the corner a few laughs are just what the doctor ordered, so it was lovely to see such a fantastic turnout at the ‘birth’ of our latest production, ‘Stand and Deliver’, a comedy which we performed at Thurlaston Village Hall in September. After originally performing this play in 2011 it was great to bring this award-winning script to life for a whole new audience. One of the best things about this show was the number of new faces we got to welcome on stage – I can’t remember the last time we had three ‘newbies’ at the same time, and they all did brilliantly! If you came along to see us, we hope you had a great time.
There’s no time to rest on our laurels, though, and rehearsals for our annual panto will be starting soon. This year’s offering is ‘Dick Whittington’, which we’ll be performing on January 26th, 27th and 28th 2023, and will be directed by Karen Meadows. If you or your kids fancy joining in the fun, why not pop along to our first rehearsal on Thursday 13th October at Thurlaston Village Hall from 8 p.m.? Or you can visit us on Facebook, drop us an email at hatsofhuncote@gmail.com or call Helen on 07454 630876 to find out more. (For info on Junior HATS, call Karen on 07707 703146.)
Hope to see you soon … oh yes we do!
