It was an extremely busy and enjoyable end of term. The whole school visited Wicksteed Theme Park where the children (and the staff) had an amazing day enjoying the fun rides and other attractions. The return of the end of term discos proved very popular as did the after-school barbecue for our Year 6s.
Continuing that theme, we said goodbye and good luck to the Year 6 children in a special leavers’ assembly where they had the opportunity to talk about their favourite memories. Every one of them has worked so hard this year and been a credit to the school – we wish them all the very best in the next step of their education. We also said goodbye to Miss Markley and Miss Marshall who are embarking on exciting new challenges. In addition, Mrs Fasham left us after 26 years of wonderful service at The Pastures. She is looking forward to a new teaching role in a nursery and we wish her all the very best for the future.
Finally, we hope all the children and their families are enjoying a wonderful summer break and look forward to seeing you back in school on Tuesday 30th August.
