After working incredibly hard in SATs week, Year 6 earned their treat trip to Narborough park as well as their chips and ice-cream! They are looking forward to their residential at the High Adventure Outdoor Education Centre, Condover Hall in Shropshire.
Congratulations to our Year 5/6 tennis teams who came 1st and 2nd in their first ever competition! They will now represent Blaby in the Level 2 finals. Also, congratulations to our Year 5/6 girls’ and boys’ football teams who took part in an LCFC tournament and progressed to the next round. Meanwhile, children in Years 1, 2 and 3 enjoyed a ‘scootering’ workshop at school.
Children in Foundation Stage had a wonderful day at the farm learning about the animals from Farmer James, stroking chicks, rabbits and guinea pigs, and even bottle feeding a lamb. They also enjoyed a barrel and tractor ride and finished off the day with a piglet race! Years 5 and 6 visited The Leicester Synagogue to support their learning about Judaism. They enjoyed a guided tour to see its beautiful decorations and many interesting features including the Ark where the Torah is kept. They also experienced a range of ‘hands on’ activities enabling the children to learn more about the Jewish faith and its traditions. All the children on their respective trips behaved impeccably and were a credit to the school!
Finally, a date for your diary! Our Summer Fair is on Sunday 2nd July from 10.00am to 1.00pm. There will be the usual mixture of games, refreshments and stalls including the children’s ‘Enterprise’ ventures. The highlight of the afternoon will be the final of ‘Pastures Got Talent’ with children performing and hoping to be the overall winner! We look forward to seeing you there!
