We can’t quite believe we are coming to the end of another school year already but there’s been no let up in the amount of activities we have packed in recently. We were delighted to honour the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with celebrations in school, including an outdoor tea party for all of the children and the planting of a Queen Elizabeth rose to mark the occasion.
We continued the Jubilee celebrations at our annual Summer Fair, hosted by the Friends of Red Hill Field, with a Jubilee themed fancy dress and crown competition. It was lovely to see their fantastic costumes and the efforts that they had gone to. Despite the rather wet weather we had an amazing turnout for the fair and raised lots of valuable funds for our school.
It has been wonderful to meet all of the new children that will be joining us next year as they start their transition sessions with us. All of our current children have also been to visit their new classrooms and meet their new teachers in readiness for next year.
We are looking forward to an energetic Sports Day to round off the year and are pleased to be able to invite all parents in to spectate and join us for lunch.
Finally, we would like to say a sad farewell to our year children who are moving on to pastures new shortly. Before they go though, they still have time to put on a fabulous performance of Mystery at Magpie Manor and enjoy their leavers’ assembly and party! We wish them all the very best at their new school and in the future ventures.
We hope everyone have a relaxing summer break and we look forward to seeing everyone back in school at the end of August.
