Red Hill Field Review July 2023

As we come to the end of another school year, we wanted to share how proud we are of our children and all that they have achieved. The last few weeks of term have been jam packed with activities. We were delighted to welcome parents and carers into school for our annual Sports Day. Children took part in a range of activities and races and were able to eat lunch with their families on the school field. The house points from the day were counted up and added to all those earned throughout the year to determine our final house winners. The children in that house then had the chance to celebrate on a bouncy castle at their winning house party!

We were treated to a wonderful cheerleading demonstration on the school field recently, as the children who have taken part in our afterschool cheerleading club showed us the results of their hard work from the whole year. They performed two action packed routines which impressed everybody in the audience.

Our year 6 children also wowed us all with their amazing end of year show – The X Factory! They were able to benefit from some in-school singing lessons from our wonderful visiting singing teacher and the results were clear to see in their pitch perfect performance. Everyone who came to watch was astounded by their confidence and enjoyed their comic timing! Following their leavers’ assembly and leavers’ party it is now time for us to say a sad farewell to them as we wish them all the very best at their new schools and in their future ventures.

Before we go, we would just like to remind everyone about our Party on the Playground on 8th September. This will be followed by an outdoor cinema event where we will be showing ‘Matilda’ on the school field. It promises to be a fabulous afternoon and evening so look out for a chance to buy tickets.

We hope you all have a relaxing summer break and we look forward to seeing everyone back in school at the end of August.
