Red Hill Field Review May 2022

After a lovely Easter break everyone came back to school raring to go for our summer term! First up several of our year 5/6 children took part in a very successful gala. Emphatically winning their heats they were delighted to progress to the regional finals representing Blaby, where they finished in a well-earned 4th place. We were very proud of them all.

Our wonderful PTA – the Friends of Red Hill Field – were pleased to host the previously postponed disco. Everyone had a great time and it was lovely to see the children enjoying themselves with their friends. Thank you to all of the generous volunteers who helped out and who are crucial to the running of these events. We’re looking forward now to our Summer Fete which will be taking place in June.

May is the month for year 6 assessments and after lots of hard work, the children all approached these with a fantastic attitude. They are now preparing for their 4-night residential trip in Wales at the end of the month and we look forward to hearing all about their adventures on their return.

Finally, we are proud to share the now published outcome of our latest OFSTED inspection which took place in March. We hosted four inspectors over two days and are pleased to announce that we continue to be recognised as a ‘good’ school. Comments from the report included ‘Red Hill Field Primary School is welcoming and inclusive, pupils are polite and well mannered, expectations are high and pupils show positive attitudes to learning.’ We are very proud of our pupils and staff who contributed to this fantastic report and continue to strive for everyday excellence!
