We were delighted to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III at Red Hill Field by holding a fantastic street party complete with party food, music and decorations. It was lovely to see everyone dressed in red, white and blue.
We have taken part in lots of sporting activities recently with both tennis and netball tournaments for children in years 4 and 5. Everyone who took part put in lots of effort and we were very pleased with the attitude of all involved.
Our year 6 children have been working very hard all year and have really impressed us with their approach to their assessments this month. After completing these, their attention has turned to rehearsing for the end of year production which we are all very excited about. They are also preparing for their 4-night residential trip in Wales at the end of the month and we look forward to hearing all about their adventures upon their return.
A wonderful new Friends of Red Hill Field (PTA) venture is coming up – the circus is coming to town! That’s right, on Sunday 11th June Red Hill Field will be home to a pop-up circus. Tickets are on sale now – contact redhillfriends@gmail to get yours!
We are now looking ahead to the last few weeks of this academic year and all that it will bring. Year 4/5 will be experiencing a day in the stars with a visit from the StarDome, which we will tell you about next month. And we are excited to be welcoming our new starters into school in June as they begin their transition sessions, we can’t wait to meet them all!
