Red Hill Field Review September 2023

A big welcome back to all of our children, it’s lovely to see everyone again after the summer break. We are also delighted to greet so many new families at Red Hill Field. Our new starters are settling in brilliantly and we are very proud of how well they are getting on.

The school year started with a bang! The Friends of Red Hill Field (our PTA), hosted the annual Party in the Playground where everyone had great fun eating, drinking and playing on the inflatables! This year’s event was followed by an amazing outdoor cinema experience in the school grounds which was a big hit for the children! The Friends have now turned their attention to the next event of the year – The Red Hill Feld Festive Forest! Plans are being put in place for another fabulous evening so pop the date in your diaries now – 8th December.

Our year 6 children enjoyed a wonderful trip to the Victory Show in Cosby this month, where they were able to experience the living conditions from the 1940s during WWII. They found out all about the weapons that were used and how the medics treated their patients. They have also become proficient cyclers that can ride safely on the roads after recently completing their Bikeability national cycle training programme.

At the end of September, we are holding our first Open Day for prospective parents of children starting school in 2024. Places are already booking up fast. If you didn’t manage to make it to this one, we will be holding another event in early November, please contact the school office at office@rhf.learnat.uk to find out more.
