This year’s Carnival will be taking place on Saturday 24 June and we can’t wait to see you all there!
Carnival 2022 was a huge success with over 2000 people pouring into the village and celebrating all that this wonderful event is about. Apart from providing a fun day out for all the family, the Carnival is about so much more. The funds raised throughout the day and evening are distributed to community groups in the village, helping them to continue to provide support to local residents. Last year we shared £8,000 between several groups – Thurlaston Primary School, Riding for the Disabled, the church, chapel, village hall, coffee club and Animal Aid. In the last 30 years a total of £38,500 has been distributed – a huge sum!
This year we’ll be kicking off at 11.00am and you can expect a full day of fun and entertainment, continuing into the evening. Why not come back later and join us at the post-Carnival evening event where Bjorn to be ABBA will be performing live in the marquee. Evening entertainment starts from 7pm and we’ll have a selection of ‘street food’ available from local businesses.
