St James Church April 2023

Thank you to everyone who took part in Stations of the Cross on The Green at mid-day on Good Friday. In brilliant sunshine Fr Andrew Lee led the service assisted by Fr Luke Dobson who is on a placement at St James and St Hugh’s Eyres Monsell for six weeks. Many thanks to Paul Preston for providing refreshments after the service and to Tim Preston for cutting the grass.

Thank you, too, to all those who came along to look at the Easter decorations in church and to enjoy Hot Cross buns in the Church Rooms. A very useful £170 was raised for church funds.

We would like to thank Blaby District Council for the recent grant they have provided to help with heating, lighting etc for the Warm Space which continues to run with great success on Wednesday mornings in the Church Rooms. We hope to continue this into the summer and beyond and look forward to welcoming anyone who would like to pop in and join us.

On Sunday 21 May the Church and The Huncote Knitters will both have stalls at the Walking Market, which takes place between 10 am and 3 pm. Please come along and support these and other stalls around the village.
