A fixture for many years in Thurlaston, the Boxing Day pram race provided, as always, an exciting alternative to sitting in front of the television. Although numbers of participants are sadly not what they used to be, the inventiveness of those taking part has not diminished, including the enthusiastic trio with the shopping trolley, the magical performance of those in the Hogwart’s Express, and the game trio representing the Elf and Safety executive.

Congratulations to all of the athletes involved and I’m sure we are all looking forward to a repeat performance next year.
