World Day of Prayer - Friday 4 March

The origins of World Day of Prayer date back to the 19th century when Christian women in the USA and Canada initiated a variety of cooperative activities in support of women’s involvement in mission, at home and abroad. The first services in this country were held in the 1930s and services now take place on the same day all around the world, each year being prepared by women from different countries. This year’s service I know the plans I have for you has the theme of hope and was prepared by women from England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The local service will take place at All Saints Church, Narborough at 11 am on Friday 4 March. Everyone will be very welcome.
